hmm... think i'll read ghost tamer by meredith r lyons:

she's being haunted by an anime ghost. like, she keeps referring to him as anime guy due to his anime hair.

these ghosts are going full poltergeist in a coffee shop full of people. like straight up chucking a table, but somehow nobody noticed until they heard the crash and did not ask any questions

like. we start out with "well that was a one-time feat of ghost strength" to mere pages later knocking shit around at the cafe & seeing another ghost throw a whole table, now were at ghost hugs like. come on. we're only like 35 pages into the book and we're ignoring the established rules when it's convenient. it Does Not Bode Well

maybe they'll pull some excuse for it later like ghost boy was just lying or mc makes ghosts more powerful somehow but idk if i have the patience to bother with the book for that long

ugh. okay. i can't deal with catty annoying overprotective jealous anime ghost anymore. i gave it almost 50 pages, which i feel is a pretty fair shake.

i'm sure this book is for Somebody, just not for me
